Britney Spears' long-awaited Las Vegas show has finally been announced with a purpose to see the songstress headline at Planet Hollywood for fifty shows a year.
Her "Piece of Me" show will include quite a few hits from the past corresponding to "Toxic" and "Baby Yet another Time" and can combine singing, dancing, and other theatrical elements. The show is slated to run for 2 years at Planet Hollywood, that's owned by Caesars.
Spears revealed the inside track on Good Morning America, claiming that i'm": definitely going to do the best hits but I'LL need to put my new material in it to maintain it fresh."
No financial details were released but Spears is rumored to be making $15 million to $20 million per year for the gig; that can look like a big sum but it is a far cry from the $100 million that Celine Dion's three year take care of Caesars was worth. Other big stars to regularly perform in Vegas at their very own headline shows for long-term deals include Elton John, Cher, and Toni Braxton.
It's a comeback of a type for Britney but she has managed to stay within the public eye and stay active after going off the rails with bizarre behavior that ultimately ended in her being hospitalized and her business affairs handed over to her father.
She was a judge on "X Factor" for one season and has continued to record songs and perfom although her popularity is nowehere near what's was in her heyday within the 1990s.
Caesars have been looking to determine a care for Britney since early spring for a long-term deal, with rumors on the time pointing to a possible contract spelling out certain things Britney couldn't do -- including gamble or drink at clubs -- in an effort to be sure that she stays at the straight and narrow path while performing in Vegas.
