The high roller in question was Don Johnson -- no relation to the actor -- who has made headlines prior to now for successfully winning about $15 million from several different Atlantic City casinos.

Johnson isn't your typical gambling whale, as he's the CEO of Heritage Development and well-known for his savvy play, often demand liberal rules in his favor before he'll put millions into play at high-stakes blackjack. Johnson may be well-known for living it up when celebrating his wins, dropping tens of millions in clubs at casinos across the world.

He'll often spend $100,000-$500,000 in one evening at one of the vital nightclubs on the Wynn so it is not difficult to assume him offering deadmau5 $200K to spin a Bon Jovi song; what's odd is that deadmau5's agent was unable to assemble the money later as Johnson refused to pay up.

deadmau5 eventually was paid by the club owner and his talent agency, with hopes of appeasing the much wanted DJ and to maintain him plying his trade on the Wynn. All gave the look to be well until the club owner sued the agency for the $50K he fronted to deadmau5, claiming it was only a loan that he was never paid back for.

The case eventually wound up in court with the entire sordid details made public. A settlement is reportedly within the works so hopefully each party involved can finally put the silliness behind them.
