Don't Blame Third Base at Blackjack

Casino players are an optimistic bunch. We all know deep down that the casino has the brink on most games and the games we play have a negative expectation. This can be a fancy way of claiming that during the long term we can lose. However, we also know that during the quick run anything can happen. Which means players can and do win. Nobody would visit a casino in the event that they knew they were gong to lose every time. Some players study the games and ensure they're playing the most productive games with the bottom house edge. They take some time to be told the tactic for Blackjack, Video Poker and other games where their decisions can affect the end result of the sport.

Nobody loves to lose. If it is on account of a competitive spirit or a quest for excellence, most folks have a burning want to win. When some players lose they feel the necessity to blame their loss on something instead of the mathematical reality of the sport. They may blame bad luck, rotten cards, the dealer and even other players on the table. This occurs essentially the most on the blackjack table.

If the player takes successful on a hand he must have stood on and takes the cardboard that will have busted the dealer, and the dealer then wins the hand, be careful. The remainder of the players on the table will blame the player at third base for his or her loss. I'VE seen some heated arguments, discussions, name calling or worse occur when this occurs.

The reality is that the one player that may affect your game ultimately is the player sitting on your seat. Players are inclined to have selective amnesia. They remember the days that the third base player takes a card which ends up in a loss, however they forget the entire times that the “mistake” by the third base player actually saves the table.

Another situation that the “Basic Strategy Experts” fail to think about is that the player at third base may indeed be a card counter. A card counter will make decisions that go against basic strategy in response to the connection of the low and high cards left within the deck. So what seems like an idiot play by the player at third base within the eyes of the fundamental strategy player, may very well be the right kind play for someone who's counting cards.

However the players don't have any way of knowing this and the cardboard counter is unquestionably unlikely to defend the play to the others by telling them that the count justified the verdict for doing it.

Don’t blame other players for his or her play. Ultimately it'll all even out for the elemental strategy player. Remember the opposite player is fiddling with HIS money not yours. He has as much right to play the way in which he wants as you do. For those who don’t like how someone plays at your table, you might be free to stand up and move to a different table. If the player is new to the sport you simply might frighten them away. If there aren't any new players are learning the sport there'll be fewer players and the casinos will replace the blackjack tables with other games or slot machines. A VISIT to the casino is entertainment and will be fun for everybody. Don’t make it a nasty experience by criticizing other players.
